WE MICROFINANCE BANK LTD (WeBank MFB)

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the mobile application (“App”), website (www.wemfbank.com), digital platforms, and related services provided by We Microfinance Bank Ltd (“WeBank MFB”, “the Bank”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using our App or Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
You must provide accurate, complete, and updated information during registration.
The Bank reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.
2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
Users must register and create an account to access certain services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, PIN, passwords, and OTPs.
You agree to notify the Bank immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
WeBank MFB shall not be liable for losses resulting from failure to protect your credentials.
3. SERVICES PROVIDED
Through our App and Website, the Bank may provide:
Account opening and management
Funds transfer (local transfers)
Bill payments
Loan applications and repayments
Savings and deposit products
Account statements and transaction history
Customer support services
All services are subject to applicable laws and regulations in Nigeria.
4. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
WeBank MFB operates under the laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
All transactions may be monitored in compliance with:
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws
Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
Counter-Terrorism Financing regulations
You agree to provide any additional documentation required for regulatory compliance.
5. ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS
All electronic instructions transmitted via the App or Website are considered valid and binding.
The Bank may rely on authentication methods including passwords, PINs, biometrics, and OTPs.
Transactions are irreversible once successfully processed.
WeBank MFB is not liable for delays caused by network providers, payment processors, or third-party systems.
6. FEES AND CHARGES
Certain services may attract fees as published on our website or communicated through official channels.
Fees may change from time to time in accordance with regulatory approvals.
You authorize the Bank to debit applicable fees from your account.
7. USER OBLIGATIONS
You agree:
Not to use the App or Website for unlawful purposes.
Not to attempt hacking, reverse engineering, or unauthorized access.
Not to use the platform for fraudulent activities.
To comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
Violation may result in immediate account suspension and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, logos, trademarks, designs, and materials on the App and Website are the property of WeBank MFB or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without written consent.
9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your use of the App and Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We collect and process personal data in compliance with:
Nigerian Data Protection laws
Applicable financial service regulations
By using our services, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data for service delivery, regulatory compliance, and fraud prevention.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeBank MFB shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Service interruptions due to maintenance or technical failure
Loss arising from user negligence
Third-party system failures
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount involved in the disputed transaction.
11. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We strive to ensure uninterrupted service but do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation.
The Bank reserves the right to:
Modify or discontinue services
Perform system upgrades
Temporarily suspend access for security or maintenance
12. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
You breach these Terms
You engage in fraudulent or suspicious activities
Required by regulatory authorities
You may also close your account subject to settlement of outstanding obligations.
13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. WeBank MFB is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of such third parties.
14. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WeBank MFB, its directors, employees, and agents from claims arising out of:
Your misuse of the platform
Violation of these Terms
Breach of applicable laws
15. AMENDMENTS
WeBank MFB reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the Website and App.
Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Nigeria.
